Frequently asked questions
How often do pads and batteries need to be replaced?
SMART Pads have a two-year shelf life and must be replaced after every use. The M5070A battery has a five-year shelf life and a four-year installed life. Partners with AED Program Management receive reminders 90 days ahead and can reorder from the account overview.
Do you sell only through distributors?
Public-access AEDs are sold through our distribution partners and the consumer store. EMS agencies, hospitals and large corporate programs can order directly through a HeartStream account with contract terms. Contact partner sales for a quote or a new partner account.
Can one account order for several sites?
Yes. A partner account can hold multiple delivery addresses, buyers and approval rules. Each site keeps its own installed-base list, so pads and batteries are reordered for the right device at the right location.
Which devices does the Tempus ALS system replace?
Tempus Pro (monitor) and Tempus LS-Manual (defibrillator) work together or apart, replacing traditional monitor/defibrillator units for EMS, military and critical-care transport, with Corsium cloud connectivity included.
